‘It’s Just What We Do In The Motorcycle Community’

You just never really know where life is taking you or who you will meet along the road. Back in July we received an email from Leigh with Traverse Magazine out of Australia.
“I’ve recently been reading through your blog and love what you’re doing.”

He asked if we would be interested in sharing some stories about our adventures with his 25,000 strong readership spread over a 100 countries. At first we were thinking…Uh…I don’t know…We’ll see…
Just kidding! We were blown away! Crazy excited!
First of all, how on earth did this magazine half way around the world find us? And, why is a ‘crackin’, full throttle adventure bike magazine interested in our ‘mid-life gap year’? Was he wanting to publish our story?!?
After having a peek at his magazine and its incredible content we were even more flabbergasted. This mag is a cool vision into the life of riders all over the world. Well placed images and interesting tales from far flung places which exude wanderlust for the Moto enthusiast.
We met with Leigh by video and he interviewed us. (That Q and A is coming in a future issue of Traverse, stay tuned to this website, FB and IG) He is such a fantastic guy. Being a rider himself, he has been all over the world and really gets it. Sam and I are keen to go to Australia and meet in person when we get to tour there.
We were all in and very excited to spread the word about our quest for a simpler existence, grabbing life by the handlebars and living our dreams. I wrote the story you are about to link in to through Leigh’s magazine.
